"Living One" (1900-1850 B.C.)

 

Appearing on rock drawings and tomb walls during several different periods, the Ankhu  hieroglyph was frequently used by ancient Egyptians to describe dogs of the Basenji type, and was almost as common as today's "laddy" or "pal."
